Innova Priority Solutions offers a highly effective range of Liquid Antiscalants and Antifoulants specifically engineered to control scale precipitates and reduce particulate fouling within membrane separation systems. Our advanced formula ensures longer run times and extended element life, significantly reducing both operating and capital costs for industrial water plants.
Key Features & Technical Advantages:
- 1. Versatile Scale Control: Effectively inhibits scales including Calcium Carbonate (up to LSI +3.0), Calcium Sulfate, Barium Sulfate, and Strontium Sulfate.
- 2. Membrane Compatibility: Fully compatible with all leading RO, NF, and UF membranes and coagulants.
- 3. Potable Water Safe: Classified and certified for use in systems producing drinking (potable) water.
- 4. Foulant Dispersion: Maintains cleaner membrane surfaces by actively dispersing particulate foulants and metal oxides (Iron & Aluminum).
- 5. Operational Flexibility: Effective over a wide pH range and can be fed neat or diluted.
Science of Protection (How it Works):
Our antiscalants act as surface-active materials that interfere with precipitation through three primary mechanisms:
- Threshold Inhibition: Keeps supersaturated solutions of sparingly soluble salts in suspension.
- Crystal Modification: Distorts crystal shapes at a submicroscopic level, resulting in soft, non-adherent scale that doesn't stick to membranes.
- Dispersion: Imparts a high anionic charge to crystals, keeping them separated from each other and the membrane surface.
Application & Dosing Guidance:
For maximum efficacy, RO Antiscalant should be injected prior to the static mixer or cartridge filter housing. For potable applications, the typical dosage range is 2 to 6 mg/L (maximum 10 mg/L). Dilution should be kept at a maximum of 10% using RO permeate or DI water.
Strategic Benefits:
- 1. Restores and prolongs expensive membrane life.
- 2. Maintains peak system rejection levels and output flow.
- 3. Global Standard Performance: Our formulation is equivalent to, or exceeds, the performance of industry standards like Permatreat PC 191/510, Maxtreat 9001/9002/9004, and Indion 8111.
